by Angela Ayles Designer apparel has become extremely popular over the past decade or so. It was always popular but recently we have seen an overwhelming rise in popularity from this industry. To get the best of the best in designer clothing, choose pieces that incorporate these 3 fabrics into your choices:
Silk
Silk has always been associated with luxury and wealth. There’s something about silk that makes you feel important and when you wear an authentic silk piece, your confidence level goes up a couple of levels immediately. There’s just something about the way the silk hugs your body that flatters every curve, regardless of your shape.
Silk is used for a variety of fashion related pieces. It can be used for skirts, dresses, blouses, scarves, pajamas and lingerie. There are a number of manufacturers who have taken full advantage of the benefits of silk. Some of the designers who have been recognized for creating unbelievable silk designs include Prada, Chanel and Roberto Cavalli. These world renowned designers offer only the best of the best when it comes to their designer clothing and their customers are always happy with their purchases.
Purchasing authentic silk items will benefit you in a number of ways. Not only will it look better because the quality is higher than other materials (or materials that are only 50% silk and 50% other materials) but it will also last longer. A true piece of silk is likely to last twice as long as the “knock-off’ materials. In addition, silk is said to be one of the most comfortable clothing fabrics on the market right now. The sleek, luxurious feel of silk on your body will outweigh the cost in a second. Now you can justify paying twice as much.
Satin
Satin, although usually classified in the same category as silk has a few very distinctive features. Silk is made from insect larvae and is made of small, fine threads. Satin is shinier than silk and usually incorporates some kind of silk fabric into it but has a dull back. Silk is shiny on both sides so you feel the silk against your skin. Satin is perfect for those who don’t like the glossy finish against their body and prefer something a little softer. Generally, satin is slightly shinier, but for the most part, the two are hard to tell apart just from looking.
Like silk and cashmere, there are many designers who have decided to incorporate satin into their magnificent designs. Some of the most luxurious satin gowns have come from prestigious designers like Versace and Valentino. Unlike silk and cashmere, satin has become a very popular material in shoe design. World renowned footwear designers like Nine West have decided to use silk.
Cashmere
Cashmere is known for its long lasting comfort and unbelievably soft appearance. It’s one of those materials that when you see someone wearing it, you just want to touch them because the material looks and feels so incredibly soft. Cashmere is one of the most popular materials in designer clothing because it provides so many benefits. Like silk and satin, cashmere is also long-lasting, comfortable and pleasing to the eye.
There are many designers who have taken full advantage of the popularity of cashmere. Some of the prestigious designers creating cashmere pieces include Kenneth Cole, Michael Kors and Christian Dior. These luxurious designers are definitely the ones to look for if you’re shopping for high quality, stylish designer clothing.
The world of fashion can be a little undermining. Designers have clued into which materials are popular among consumers but realize that they can’t sell their items for low cost if they’re made from this authentic material. So here’s a secret to help you out: Some designers advertise their items as cashmere when in fact they are only partially made of the material. This way, you think you’re getting a deal because you can’t believe you just bought a cashmere sweater for $29.99. Well let me tell you something – nothing good comes for free. Look at the tags on these items and I guarantee you the product isn’t 100 percent cashmere.

by Bridget Allen Oh no! You’re having a jeans crisis and can’t decide on which perfect pair to buy! Don’t despair! Help is on the way.
No matter if you are plus size, petite, tall or average, it’s difficult to find the perfect pair of jeans, so we could also use a few tips.
It’s not always easy finding the right pair of jeans. There are just too many styles to choose from. By keeping some of these tips in mind you can find that perfect pair of jeans.
Some useful hints include:
· Before deciding on which pair of jeans to wear, it’s imperative to choose the type of shoes you’ll be sporting. This is because the heel normally will determine how the jean will fall or lay to the ground.
· Also remember that most jeans are not pre-shrunk when you purchase them. So make sure you allow for a bit of shrinkage.
· Low-rise jeans sit low on the waist and provide the perfect opportunity to show off those abs!
· Boot-cut jeans are loose through the leg and wide at the leg opening.
· Flare leg jeans are fun and funky which feature a wide, flared opening at the leg.
· Stonewashed jeans are light and have a more broken-in appearance.
· Distressed jeans have holes, shredding or crinkles to give it that highly worn appearance.
· Dark jeans are the ideal jeans for a night out.
· Not all jeans fit all body types. So keep in mind your body type and jean style when selecting jeans.
· Full-figured body types should choose traditional five-pocket style jeans that aren’t too snug. A bootcut jean will help to balance your figure and make your legs appear longer. And always select jeans in a darker shade.
· Slimmer body types look great in jeans with a slight flare at the leg opening. Low-rise and pocket jeans are also good choices.
· Athletic types have narrow hips and athletic legs. Bootcut jeans are flattering as well as low-rise jeans.
· Some of the newest hottest trends in the stores today are True Religion and 7 for all Mankind.
· Today’s jeans are not for just wearing around the house. Designer jeans are versatile and trendy and easily transition from daytime to evening.

by Susan Lockhart Colour is the first thing other people notice about us, and its impact is immediate and long-lasting. Our fashion colour choices say a lot about the image we are trying to portray and how we feel about ourselves. So what does colour tell people?
Within seconds of meeting you, others will respond to the 'colour messages' flashed by your clothes. Different colours can make people feel a certain way. In fact, it has been determined by medical science that colour can influence the viewer's hormones, blood pressure and body temperature. Colour also has an impact on:
* Your apparent shape; * Your apparent weight; * Your apparent personality; * Your emotions * Others emotions
Other important considerations are how appropriate the colour is for the location, occasion, time of year, your age and of course, your natural colouring.
We are all influenced by colour every day, whether we realise it or not. If we're having a bad day and not feeling good about ourselves, we tend to automatically choose clothes in dull neutral colours like black, grey or brown because they match how we're feeling. Just as when we're happy and feeling great we will go for something a bit brighter.
Have a look in your wardrobe and see how many different colours you own. Do you have a veritable rainbow of outfits? Or are there just 1 or 2 colours that you wear a variation of all the time? You may find you are stuck in a colour rut. Knowing this, why not experiment with the colours you wear and surround yourself with.
Sometimes it is not just the colour itself, but a combination of colours that create the affect. Colours produce different reactions when used in different fabrics and when put together in different colour combinations. For example, a red jacket worn with a white shirt to a business meeting exhibits confidence and power, but a red jacket worn with a lacy red top may be interpreted as saying, 'I'm sexy and exciting and I have other things on my mind besides this business meeting'.
Red is actually not the best colour to wear to a job interview as it can set the scene for an uneasy interaction between females. So what colours are appropriate for what situation?
Here is a list of the colours that men respond well to, both socially and professionally.
* Yellow: Holds their attention and keeps them alert; indicates the start of something new
* Yellow-based reds: Energetic colour that keeps conversations going
* True reds: Exhibits confidence
* Burgundy: Reflects class and sophistication and attracts the same type of men
* Mid-range blues: Puts others at ease and allows interactions to go smoothly
* Sky blue: A calming colour
* Navy blue: Signals that you want to be taken seriously; it inspires others to listen to what you have to say and displays that you are trustworthy
* Blue-based reds: Suggests intelligence and femininity
* Red violet: Suggests strength and creativity
It is most important though, to choose colours that are a good fit for your natural colouring. There is no point choosing a colour that suggests creativity and confidence if it also makes you look washed out or sick.
Wearing your best range of colours can have a huge impact on your wardrobe and your confidence. The right colours can make your skin tone appear more even, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and dark circles and make you look brighter and healthier. While on the other hand wearing a colour which isn't so good for you, can make you look tired, dull and even ill. A colour analysis with a professional image consultant will show you exactly which range of colours are best for your clothing, makeup and accessories.
In short, our fashion colour choices tell the world a lot about us. Knowing how to use colour to your advantage can change the way you dress and boost your self-confidence.

by Tania Machowska Provisional dates for London's fashion week are 16-23 September 2007. Fashion weeks tend to be held several months before the season, which gives press and buyers a chance to preview designs in advance. The last London Fashion Week was a huge success, bringing more than £100 million worth of business to London. Expectation is high for the next event, which many hope will be just as successful.
What We Can Expect
It's the first fashion week since top stylist Isabella Blow died in May. As Blow kick-started the careers of both Philip Treacy and Alexander McQueen, we're expecting to see many tributes. Models such as Lily Cole, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Agyness Deyne are being lined up to sashay down the catwalk in the latest designs.
The last London Fashion Week in February 2007 was a huge success with £40 million worth of orders and a huge £24 million of media coverage. Following London Fashion Week will be London Fashion Weekend, which takes place at the Natural History Museum and offers visitors the opportunity to purchase designer clothes at sales prices.
Next Season Predictions
We're eagerly anticipating next season's trends. Will next summer prove to be the season for you to dust off your capri pants? Who knows!
The Designers
Luella Bartley will show her Spring/Summer 2008 collection at fashion week, which also coincides with the launch of her new flagship store in Mayfair. It’s unclear whether Vivienne Westwood is showing this year but if she does, we never fail to be impressed by the grand dame of fashion.
It was Marc Jacobs in February but who will be the talk of Fashion Week in September? Fashion week favourite Hussein Chalayan should be returning with a collection that promises a blend of simplicity and volume. There are also rumours that John Galliano is returning to London with another one of his spectacularly outlandish collections. Inspired by the French Revolution, one of his last shows featured a realistic-looking guillotine and so we’re can’t wait to see what he’ll do this time. Hot young designer Henry Holland is also one to look out for. His cheeky House of Holland label is guaranteed to raise a smile with bitchy slogan t-shirts and androgynous styling. Needless to say, we're expecting Julien McDonald to dazzle us with a glamourous Givenchy show.
The Fashion Industry and Model’s Health
Since the death of catwalk models Luisel Ramos and Ana Carolina Reston, fashion bosses have been under increasing pressure to ban size zero models. However, it's unclear whether they plan to do this at fashion week. However, the organisers of Madrid Fashion Week 2006 banned models with a Body Mass Index below 18 and pressure is mounting on London Fashion Week bosses to do the same.
The Independent Model Health Inquiry has also found it 'profoundly inappropriate' that young girls should be portrayed as adult women on the catwalk and have called for them to be banned from fashion week. However, it is unclear whether they will be. Lily Cole, Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell all modelled before their sixteenth birthday but should they have been allowed to?
Discover More about Fashion Week
If you’re eager for more news and gossip, stay tuned. We'll be at the shows in September, bringing you the hottest looks straight from the catwalk.

by Mei Galang Do you possess the look of a professional? Do you look incredibly smart? Are you confident enough to take charge and get the job that you applying for?
Consider the fact that your resume is quite impressive and the employer can't resist to have the audacity to ask you to come for an interview. But after the all the preparations, your final problem will surely comes up right after you realize and ask yourself ' what should I wear?' These things are actually important for the job hunters, people tend to have a systemic problem nowadays regarding what they should wear on a job interview. Honestly I'm wired toward automatically seeing the person in these kind of situations because I also had the same experienced when I was hunting for a right job. However many take these for granted, with the eloquence of having an 'impressive resume' they forgot that applicants will not only be examined based on the job experience and personality but also with how they present themselves professionally.
Here are the top 20 tips in dressing for an interview
1.Research if the company or your potential employer have a specific dress code.
2.If your planning to buy new clothes, get good advice from sales persons.
3.Have the clothes altered to fit and accent your features.
4.Select an outfit that you have worn before and are comfortable wearing.
5.Your hair should be clean and neat.
6.Do not wear a strong perfume or cologne, scent must be low key or absent.
7.Cover any tattoo and limit pierced jewelry to ears only.
8. For men – Wear a suit or sports jacket that is color coordinated with your trousers.
9. For men – You should have clothes in Neutral or dark colors such as blue, black or gray.
10. For men – Wear a conservative and low key tie. Avoid ties with flashy patterns.
11. For men – Keep your sneakers away. A clean, polished black leather shoes is highly recommended.
12. For men – Don't forget to trim and clean your nails.
13. For men – White socks are definitely NO! Use dark socks.
14. For men – Use dark suit and light colored shirt.
15. For women – Wear a classic suit or simple dress paired with a jacket.
16. For women – The appropriate colors are navy blue, black, dark green, dark red, burgundy or gray.
17. For women – Don't be too provocative or sexy.
18. For women – Trim your fingernails and use a polish that complements your clothes and would not distract the interviewer.
19. For women – Choose a moderate shoes which is clean and with heels that makes you comfortable.
20. For women – Use a tan or light hosiery.
Clothing will play a role in your career so you should continue to pay attention to your wardrobe. Add pieces made of high quality that will match to what you already have. Buy separates that can be mixed and matched. Dressing is not everything but it will definitely add up to your overall impression that you will make on.
These are some advices and the right tools that I can give to someone on their job hunting, but I have to leave it here. Because as we all end up with reality, applicants must not look good with their own respective dress but might as well have the confidence to make themselves qualified enough for the job. Job hunters should think first all the requirements before going to an interview, from the resume to his/her diploma. They must be ready to answer the question exquisitely. So if you want to have a job career in the future, you should consider these suggestion for you to succeed. When I was in high school retro clothes were not considered cool. By the time I entered college the clothes that I had spent only a few dollars on at local thrift stores became wildly popular and expensive. After some ridicule for my wardrobe I was quite shocked at the popularity retro clothes gained seemingly overnight. At first I was not annoyed at the sudden acceptance that retro clothes were granted. It wasn't until retro clothes became too expensive that I became irritated.
For many years in high school I shopped at thrift stores and secondhand shops and spent only a few dollars on an entire outfit. Once the cultural shift happened and retro clothes became trendy again I was unable to afford them. This went against everything that retro clothes and wearing them stood for.
It seems that fashions get recycled and regurgitated over and over. It is as if the fashion industry has run out of fresh ideas and must constantly revert to the past and what has already been done in order to fill the next season's catalog. With all the money that clothes and couture pull in, you would think that you would see more innovative designs in the middle sector.
It may have taken me several years, but now I love that retro clothes have come back in fashion because they compliment my natural sense of style. My favorite aspect of retro fashion has to be the jewelry. Everywhere you go now you can find antique-looking jewelry. I am obsessed now with chandelier earrings and ornate necklaces. I have found super affordable jewelry at Kohl’s and Target that satisfy my craving for vintage fashion.
It is difficult now to find the great pieces of retro clothes that I used to find at thrift stores. You have to go to real stores now if you are looking for vintage fashion and everything is getting more and more expensive. There is a double-edged sword here because I don’t want retailers to stop carrying these clothes that I love but I also miss the super cheap prices that I used to find them at.
I will have to accept that some day retro clothes will once again fall by the wayside and be forgotten by major retailers. By that time, there should be such a supply of used clothing that I will find those vintage-inspired pieces I love so much at thrift stores once again. The recycle circle goes on and on and I plan on benefiting from it again. by Dalvin Rumsey Dresses, garments, or attire-on the body, these are all things that are generally referred to as clothing. Every person is used to wearing clothes, so that he or she may be protected against cold or hot weather conditions. So, the coverings of the torso and limbs, as well as the coverings for the hands, feet and head, these all make up the definition of clothing.
In addition to this, there are some articles that people rather carry than wear. These are called accessories, among which we can include the purses, that are almost always carried by women, but also the glasses or jewelry. Tattoos, make-up and hairstyles are the decorations of the body are used to enhance the general message an individual would want to send to the rest of the people surrounding him.
Clothing was originally meant to protect people against extreme weather conditions, such as strong winds, intense heat, cold and rain. The weaves of these clothes also contribuited to the comfort of people, by not letting the air come around the skin and avoiding the exit of the air reheated by it. Clothes can also protect the skin from the ultraviolet radiation of the sun, which can, in extreme cases, burn it. The water of rain or snow is kept away from a person’s body by impermeable waves.
In addition to these protection reasons, clothes are also very useful by means of the social and cultural reasons of the people all over the world. Some of the cultures it is not a good thing to show to others parts of the human body anatomy, so the clothes are a method to hide from the rest of the world the particular areas of a person's body. Clothing and exposure have always been shaped by religion and customs. Social classes, sexes, occupation, marital status and ethnic or religious affiliation can also be expressed by clothes. So, in the past centuries, people were distinguished by the clothes they wore. Nowadays, things are very much different.
People can wear clothes made of various types of fabrics, such as natural origin materials, like silk, wool, and leather, but may also select one for the man-made fibers extensively used in clothes manufacturing, like nylon, polyester or Lycra. The great progress in technology allows us to guess what the clothes of the future will look like. But this is all a matter of human imagination. Sexy Junior Clothing for Teens and Adults. by Kacy Carr The whole entity of beauty is about what you wear, for example, remove every woman on this earths clothing leaving her naked - and what do you get, millions of replicas of the same thing, okay there will be different shapes and sizes I agree, but the goods are still the same - so the point here is - it is how you package the wares that counts.
The whole entity of beauty does not end with a facial scrub or a makeover - it is a package which denotes your true inner beauty through the clothes you wear. The whole entity of beauty (clothes) can tell a story about your personality just by your own personal choice in style and color.
Bedroom attire for the female entity of beauty may be that of lace frilly knickers (lingerie). Lace is a wonderful way that a woman can inject her femininity to protrude. However not every woman is the same - as we all differ in taste - especially when trying to please the opposite sex in the bedroom. Some women just love to show their whole entity of beauty by wearing suspenders and up the bum thong knickers behind closed doors, and hey what do know ladies - the men love this too. You face no problem in pleasing your partner - if you include lace underwear to be part of any romantic antics that takes place in the room above. So remember ladies when the facial scrub comes off - then on with the frillies.
Ladies underwear i.e. frilly lace knickers and suspenders come in many designs from simple and plain - to knickers and bras that does not leave much to the imagination. Women's magazines are a fabulous way to find useful tips on what the female species sees as the whole entity of beauty. Beauty data included in most ladies glossy brochures are certainly a fine way to keep up with the latest news in what trendy fashion gear is gracing the catwalk. Magazine advice is another good way to catch up on what is the new brand of cosmetics that women are raving about.
Once the facial is over and those vibrant tresses flow after leaving the hair drier down, then take heed of the transformation in the mirror - when that chiffon dress slips over the shoulders. Remember at this point the finest of exquisite jewelry will always make an outfit even more alluring.
If you are out on a date and are a little shy when it comes to making conversation, then why not let your clothes do the talking. Believe you me when I say that your outfit will speak volumes about you (excuse the pun) so you can either tone it up or tone it down. Essential Glamour advice for you Keep your beauty in shape. by John Creech French people are experts when it comes to dressing up. They have a natural flair for what looks superb: well-tailored pants, classy formal wear, simple blue jeans, well-fitting shirts, and stylish shoulder bags. The style is extremely fashionable. Good quality but inexpensive clothes and shoes should never look cheap!
French people take care of their bodies, accordingly with what they wear. They are also aware of image projection. Even French children know how to take care of themselves. They may be young, but they always look like they have just been from beauty salons. They are constantly well groomed, even though they have to run some errands. Their concept of good grooming includes well-combed hair, clean nails, expensive perfume, well-ironed clothes, well-polished shoes, and appropriate accessories. Attractive women, mothers or grandmothers, easily catch men's attention.
French women seem to always know how to look like models. For some unknown reasons, physical flaws are ignored by most people. What people see is a unique and beautiful face, to the extent that they all look the same. Thus, it is amazing whenever I find a distinctive face of a French woman in the street.
Every girl expresses her own style of dressing by choosing her own accessories, arranging her hair, and manipulating standard wardrobe items. On the other hand, what French women have in common, aside from their looks, are their slim figure, nice eyelashes, and accessories that enhance the body. They prefer clothes that show off the silhouette and curves of their bodies.
For instance, French women take plain clothes to look slim. Only few people wear jeans, since French people prefer dainty dresses or skirts with lace and flowery designs. That is because they always want to look feminine and seductive. Moreover, a French woman considers a man flirting with her through eye contact, as a compliment. Women in France have mastered sending hints through the use of their tantalizing eyes. So, when a French woman smiles back, that means she is open to the challenge. More so, serious advances, like fling and dating, normally follow.
Jeans are not the only things seldom or never worn by French ladies. It amazes me that these women usually avoid wearing mini skirts and revealing blouses. Instead, they wear long skirts or dresses. As mentioned, the women like to expose little but seductively, thus, they only show just a tiny portion of skin to appear seductive in a subtle way. It is believed that seduction resides in the little detail of their exposed skin through the slits, exposed backs, tiny tops that flaunt the lower abdomen, and pants that reveal sexy underwear.

by Sheri O. Zampelli I love clothes. For me, clothing is a form of self-expression just like paint on a canvas is a form of expression for an artist. So, over the years I’ve been known to scour the pages of fashion magazines for ideas. Sometimes I buy the magazines in the store, other times I subscribe to them for a year or more. Often times, when I flip through the pages, I get inspiration to combine colors, textures or styles in a way I hadn’t thought of in the past.
I’ve known for years that fashion magazines are filled with unrealistic, computer-enhanced images. I know that many models have eating disorders and drug problems and I know that many young women aspire to look like models and therefore become victims of eating disorders, compulsive dieting, body dissatisfaction, drug use, smoking and more. I know because I was one of those girls.
But I figured since I “know better” now, since I’m smart enough to see beneath the surface, that there’s no harm in looking at the magazine for fashion ideas. It was only this past week, after the mailperson delivered a 500 page copy of one of my favorite fashion magazines that it all began to hit me. I sat at the table eating cereal and flipping through the pages one at a time.
I oogled a $500 purse and a $200 pair of shoes. I saw pictures of $1,000 dollar watches. Page after page was permeated with items that would break my bank if I were to purchase them. I realized that I was literally paying money out of my pocket to be advertised to. I was paying for a 500 page manual which might as well have been titled: 500 pages of things you will never be, do or have.
I realized I was paying to look at and read lies. Even though I “know better” on a conscious level, there was still a little girl part of me that wanted “that purse”, “those shoes” and “that watch,” even if they were all incredibly overpriced and sure to wreak havoc on my financial future and my self-esteem.
On this particular day, looking at the fashion magazine wasn’t enjoyable, it was infuriating. I suppose this fury has been working it’s way out over the past few months. There was the time when I saw the picture of Madonna in a Versace ad and it hit me: she doesn’t have a wrinkle or a smile line or crow’s feet. Not one sign of being a mother of two, over 40 and a woman with an incredibly demanding career that spanned several decades. I thought to myself, “that’s impossible.” It wasn’t a jealous or envious thought, I meant it very literally. It is impossible. Computer enhancement and heavy duty make-up is the only logical explanation for the flawless face I saw.
I decided to put my emotions and judgments in check and get objective about what I saw. I performed an unofficial research project and scanned the pages of this 500 page magazine to get an accurate account of what I had been absorbing mindlessly month after month and year after year. Here’s what I learned: of the 500 pages, 300 were full-page ads. 172 pages were ads that pretended to be fashion advice, party advice and editorial content. Let’s get real, when the fashion advice includes the name, phone number and website of the store and the price of the item, it truly is an ad. About 30 pages of the magazine were not technically ads but they were things like: “This star likes this” or, “This star does that.” Three of the pages were public service ads (I believe this is a requirement). So, there you have it, my 500 page contained 472 ads and approximately 30 pages of “content.” And I’m the sucker who sent the check in to cover the yearly subscription fee.
Now after this informal research project, I was beginning to get a little steamed up. Then, my friend Cindy e-mails me a link to the Dove website (campaignforrealbeauty.com) I go there and watch a 30-second video that shows a sped up version of all that goes into your typical fashion photo shoot. The 30-second video clip encapsulates the hours of time spent on hair, make-up, lighting, professional photography techniques and computer enhancement that takes place before an ad is published or broadcast. When I say the magazine ads are unrealistic and unattainable, I mean it. Because not even the model looks like the model!
So, I’ve made a decision. I am boycotting all fashion magazines. I will never purchase another one again. I will not spend my money on lies and images that lead to self-hatred, deadly behaviors and oppression for women. I know that money is power and I refuse to spend my money on harmful lies that destroy the lives of many women.
I know that my few dollars will not be a big loss to the mega-rich publishing industry but I think it’s important for all women to realize that in a very real way we do not have to buy the hype. I mean that in two ways. We do not have to buy the magazines with our money and we don’t have to buy the lies that reside within their pages. We can also decide to support designers and manufacturers that promote positive images for women. We can choose to withhold our dollars from companies that exploit women whether it’s the model or the sweat shop worker that sews the clothing.
If a full boycott of fashion magazines is not for you, you always have the power to write advertisers when you see images that are harmful or ridiculous. These letters do make a difference.
Now, as far as my fashion inspiration, I decided that if my clothes truly are to be a form of self-expression then I will decide for myself what textures, colors and styles I want to combine. I’m a grown woman living in a free country. I don’t need a magazine to tell me how I should dress. Sheri O. by Laura McDonald Paralegals wear suits to work. Their jobs are professional in nature and it is important to dress appropriately with that sense of that business world. Ladies, carefully consider how you accessorize with jewelry for the office. A legal assistant’s jewelry should be simple yet elegant.
What is the perfect jewelry selection for work? Pearls.
Resting among the oldest and most universal of gems is the pearl, shining in its many splendors. Pearls are symbolic of purity and chastity, the ultimate of feminine charm. Ancient Romans considered pearls a symbol of wealth and social standing. Pearls were also held in high esteem by the Greeks.
Fair maidens during the Dark Ages believed there was magic in the lustrous gems which would protect them from harm. These maidens often graced a favored noble knight with a strand. Knights thus favored would even wear those strands of pearls into battle. The royal courts of Europe were adorned with pearls. At one time, several European countries ordered that only nobility were allowed to wear pearls.
Pearls are available in the entire color spectrum making them easily adaptable to any outfit. Rose' and silver/white pearls better compliment lighter skin tones. Pearls with a creamier hue or gold-tone flatter darker skin tones.
Sharp business fashion is satisfied by stranding pearls in two different ways. The first way combines pearls of the same size and shape. The second option is a necklace of similarly shaped pearls, but graduating in size to the middle of the piece. A tip: wear necklaces no greater than 16-18” in length. This keeps another’s focus automatically pulled upwards, toward the face, which is best for work communication. Another tip for paralegals when wearing pearl necklaces: add just a touch of gloss on your lips. A pearl necklace captures focal point attention, moving upwards, first to the subtle lip shine and upwards again to shining eyes.
Pearls are beautiful jewelry staple for office wear. They are also very adaptable to many occasions in a woman’s life. The petite gems are often a “rites of passage” gift for young ladies, such as a 16th or 21st birthday. Pearl necklaces can be either store-bought for such gifts, or hold the sentimental value of being handed down family generations.
Pureness is symbolized in weddings by white gowns, white lace…and pearls. The luminescent beads are worn by brides, ladies in the wedding party itself, and mothers of the bride and groom. Female wedding guests may also wear pearls.
Pearls are just as appropriate for other occasions, such as church services, or an evening at the opera. Add a pearl necklace to a social mixer outfit and the outfit is complete. Tiny pearl earrings can be worn anywhere for any occasion.
Pearls are quite literally gems that a woman can infuse into her wardrobe for many occasions in her life. Versatility of color hue makes mixing and matching a breeze. Combined with the pearl’s history of symbolic purity and wealth, what better accessory is there for a paralegal to wear?
A paralegal will greatly benefit from simply adding pearls to her wardrobe. The benefits are both in the sense of appropriate business fashion, and to her as a beautiful woman. A woman’s pearls shine, just like her eyes do, as she succeeds both professionally and personally. If you have not done so already, add pearls to your wardrobe today. by Kadence Buchanan Walking down the crowded streets, pushing your way through the queue, passing through the halls of a high school, dancing on the club floor, you simply can't help noticing how people especially youngsters, try to decorate every part of their body. In fact, it makes you think the human body should have had an extra pair of hands and feet not to mention ears and maybe a pair of extra nostrils too, so that people wouldn't need to pierce their lips, tongues, bellies and eye brows etc. The youngsters over the past decade have begun using rings and tops profusely. There was a time when you could identify and differentiate between a punk and a normal guy. The impact and influence of media is so strong that it is hard to stop the current generation from adopting methods of reconstructing themselves. They want to singularity, they crave for excitement.
Jewelry has lost its true essence and it is everywhere and anywhere. It just has to be there. Starting from the ear that could compensate two earrings which could palpably be decent somehow changed into the maximum amount of tops and earring the ear lobe can hold. It wouldn't be an exaggerated statement to say ears are adorned with 9 or 10 tops at a time which makes it similar to a jewelry shop's display of earrings with every sort of design, size and shape.
Then comes the nose, the nostrils can readily be pierced at one place. Ironically, girls these days wear so many nose pins, that their nose seems smaller than the ornaments on it.
Human's exuberance and liveliness is projected even more vividly when you find a pierced belly or lip. You can heave a sigh of relief and acknowledge the human consideration of restricting the number of rings and pins used at these spots to just one or maximum of two. Perhaps, the concept behind getting a tongue pierced can only be appreciated when the person with a tongue piercing sticks out a decorated tongue on you.
Humans have a revolting nature and an unquestionably brilliant way of making a muddle out of everything, even if its idea was to help them or adorn their lives. Even in the name of fashion, the newer generations seem to be making a mockery of themselves.

by Jon Arnold Have you ever thought about becoming a fashion model? Do you think you have what it takes for that kind of job? The typical fashion model travels to exotic places, models the latest clothes, fashions, and accessories from top designers, and can even be featured in various magazines, which of course can also then lead to being pursued by manufacturers for you to do product endorsements.
But that is typically not where a fashion model STARTS. Like anything else, a fashion model or teen model usually starts significantly lower on the totem pole while they are gaining visibility with potential clients and top modeling agencies around the world. But if you are willing to “pay your dues”, the rewards can be fabulous from many perspectives, including travel, mingling with celebrities, attending exclusive events, and of course from a financial perspective. Top models can earn upwards of thousands of dollars per day.
Fashion modeling is no longer limited to just the “perfect” people anymore with the great looks, superb hair, and a Barbie-doll figure. Particularly in recent years, the fashion designers have started to realize that by only targeting the “perfect” people, they were ignoring a large portion, indeed a MAJORITY, of the audiences they could potentially target to sell their merchandise, accessories, and fashions.
That being the case, there is also a market for fashion models that almost spans the entire range of types of people; i.e., the petite, the “plus size”, the teen, the “mature”, and yes even the retiree crowd. Think about it, all those types of people have money also, and are willing to spend it if they are aware of the possibilities and availability of their products. And selling their creations and fashions is what they are in business for! To become a successful fashion model today, you no longer need to be limited to the group that is about 5 foot 8 inches tall at 120 pounds with perfect bouncy hair and about 22 years old.
There are many types of modeling jobs available, and virtually any of them would be a good start for someone with the motivation and desire to get into some of the top spots and top agencies. There is catalog modeling, runway modeling, showroom modeling, promotional or trade show modeling, television modeling, as well as print modeling like in newspapers or magazines.
Make no mistake about it, it is a tough market and there will likely be some long hours involved. But for those with the motivation and desire to succeed in this very competitive industry, the rewards can far outweigh the negatives.

by S.W. Chadwick Everyone wants to look 'in style', no matter if they work full time or stay at home. For many of us, keeping up with the trends, and updating our closets can get pretty expensive. Many times you hear women, especially new mothers, saying that they just don't have the extra money it takes to look fashionable. Even though money can be tight for any of us, mothers or not, looking your best does not have to break your bank account. Here are some easy tips for looking your best on a limited budget: 1) Look for catalogs online that offer 'defered payment'. The most popular ones out there today are Chadwicks, Newport News, Speigel, and Lerner. They don't always offer this, so register your email address with them, and very quickly you should start receiving invites from them to use their '90 day deferred billing option'. Use a debit card if you can, but make sure that whatever your total is, you start saving that amount NOW. For instance, 90 days, or 3 months, should give you plenty of time to save enough money to cover your costs. For instance, if you stopped spending $4.00 day on a gourmet coffee drink, multiply that by 5 ($20.00), multiply that by 4 ($100.00), and you could in reality spend $300.00 on a new wardrobe, and have the money to pay for it in those 3 months. 2) Organize your friends/coworkers and have a 'clothes swap' party. All of us have things we don't wear anymore, or can't fit into. Instead of donating them to Goodwill, throw a girly party, include handbags, shoes, etc. You would be amazed how many really nice things your friends are willing to part with. 3) Visit Consignment Shops in Wealthy parts of town. The clothes that are for sale at these shops are usually high quality, sometimes 'haute couture' clothing. The prices may be a little higher than a Goodwill store, but if you are looking for more 'trendy' looks, this is the place to start. 4) eBay - where else can you shop for ANYTHING and EVERYTHING you could imagine? My favorite thing to do is go into an expensive boutique here in town, and find THE best pair of shoes that I HAVE to have. I take note of the brand/name/price, and then go home and see if they are listed on eBay. 9 times out of 10, they are and I can guarantee that they are cheaper on this site. If you have anything you want to sell on eBay, that money that you make selling your item, can sit in your PayPal account, and you can turn around and use it to buy your new 'in style' item. Hopefully the following tips have been able to help you see that you too can look fashionable even if you don't have an endless amount of cash to spend on your wardrobe. Happy Shopping! S.W.
